Y.E.S. Uganda – Who We Are

Y.E.S. or Youth Encouragement Services is a Christ Based Missions Outreach and a Non Government Organization (NGO) founded by Carol Adams in Fort Portal, Uganda.

The Y.E.S. program is overseen by a board of directors and is run by a small staff with assistance from volunteers. The role of the board is to monitor the program’s activities to ensure that they are in-line with the objectives and principles of the constitution of the Youth Encouragement Services. The Executive Director of the program, Carol Ann Adams is assisted and advised in major decision making and policy making by the Childcare Committee.

Activities in the Y.E.S. Childcare program are implemented by field workers in collaboration with volunteers who evaluate, monitor and counsel the children and extended families.

The Y.E.S. Childcare program is dedicated to alleviating the suffering of orphaned children irrespective of their beliefs and faith. Currently more than 500 children in Uganda are assisted by way of food, health, mentoring, and schooling.
